FINISHING OFF THE SEMESTER

I think the hardest part of going abroad in the spring semester is waiting for the fall semester to be over. At Elon, most students go abroad during the fall semester. For the past three months, I’ve been seeing picture after picture of my friends who are abroad having what seems like the time of their lives. All of this while I’m sitting in North Carolina waiting for the semester to be over so it can finally be my time to head off.

Since I’ve gotten to college I’ve fallen into the trap that is being busy. Because of this, my days seem never-ending, and my to-do list gets longer and longer every second. This semester especially, I feel like I haven’t had any time to just sit down and relax. Especially because I not only have to do well in my classes, but I also have to hand off my leadership positions before I go abroad.

I’m really looking forward to going away for a semester and not worrying about my involvement and all the meetings I have in any given week. I’m going to make it a conscious goal to take in every day while I’m in Copenhagen and live in the moment. But for now, I need to go back to studying so I can finish off the semester and embark on what will hopefully be one of the best journeys of my life.
